WELCOME TO THE RESISTANCE

We are calling for all to join the Coalition Against the Trump Agenda (CATA) and to continue to build a strong united front to fight the racist and reactionary agenda of this administration.

We are united around the following points of unity:

FUNDING THE FIGHT AHEAD!

A Fundraiser for the Coalition

Start: Thursday, February 05, 2026•06:30 PM

Location: Casa Michoacan - 1638 S Blue Island Ave

Since Trump took office, the Coalition Against the Trump Agenda (CATA) has been in the streets fighting the racist and reactionary agenda of this administration. A coalition that began as 35 groups in February 2025 has grown to over 100! Join us as we raise money to continue the fight against Trump’s assault on immigrants, labor, LGBTQ communities, and his moves to war in the Caribbean and elsewhere. When it was announced that hundreds of Texas National Guards were deployed to a military base in Joliet, Illinois, CATA called an emergency protest which brought 7,000 people out to oppose the guard entering Chicago.

CHICAGO: EMERGENCY RESPONSE TO DHS EXECUTION IN MINNEAPOLIS

On Sunday, Jan 25th, 20,000 people marched united through the streets of Chicago to fight back against the killings, kidnappings, and terror unleashed by ICE, Border Patrol, and federal agencies under the Trump administration.

We were joined by allied organizations, elected officials, and the working people of Chicago to stand in solidarity with our siblings in Minnesota, who are currently experiencing the chaos created by the occupation of federal agents acting with impunity. As Minnesota fights back, Chicago will fight alongside them for justice for all those kidnapped and murdered by ICE and CBP.

POINTS OF UNITY

1) With Trump's commitment to ramp up repression, we need to forge the broadest unity we can in order to defend our movements

2) We unite around the demands to Fight the Racist & Reactionary Republican Agenda, Defend & Expand Immigrant Rights, Stand with Palestine and end all U.S aid to Israel, Defend the Right to Unionize & Strike, Stop Police Crimes, Defend Women’s LGBTQIA+ & Reproductive Rights, and Defend Education & Academic Freedom

3) It is only by uniting the combined forces of our movements to fight for all of our demands that we can not only defend our communities, but win greater power
